Position:

• Dual Language (English) Teacher – Kindergarten

Summary:

• Opportunity in our new Dual-Language Education Program located at Gomes Elementary School. This program will provide some of our youngest learners with an exceptional opportunity to become proficient in two languages. Grade-level content will be delivered in Spanish and English. Educators must hold a Bi-lingual/ESL and an Early Childhood license.
• Provide rigorous lessons aligned to the Common Core Standards and MA State Frameworks that promote independent thinking, creative problem solving, and intellectual curiosity for all students.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement instruction to ensure that all students meet and exceed Common Core Standards and State Frameworks.
• Use data to inform instruction, track student progress, and track personal growth through self-evaluation and goal setting.
• Deliver engaging, targeted instruction that meets MA DESE and Common Core Standards for the level and subject taught.
• Differentiated services and instruction to meet a variety of student learning needs and strengths.
• Maintain active communication with students’ families to support learning and consistently communicate academic and social progress throughout the school year.
• Assess student performance using formal, summative, and portfolio assessments to drive instruction.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the principal.
