Job summary

Montana Tech seeks a dedicated Dual Enrollment/Public Education Coordinator for Highlands College to expand access to college courses for high school students. You will collaborate with high school partners, families, and community stakeholders, and manage program logistics across campuses.

You will represent Montana Tech at events and work with faculty, administrators, and partners, with occasional evening sessions and travel as required.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills including writing, verbal, and analytical skills and public speaking.

  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team
  • Ability to work non-traditional schedules (evenings or career fairs)

Responsibilities

  • Assist with administrative functions related to dual enrollment programs.
  • Interact with school administrators, district staff, and industry partners; make regular site visits to partner schools.
  • Build relationships with new schools and business partners.
  • Report to the Director of Dual Enrollment.

In this role you will work closely with high school students, parents, faculty and community partners to expand access to college courses and create pathways for student success. Duties:

The dual enrollment coordinator assists with administrative functions and activities related to the dual enrollment programs at high school campuses. This person interacts with school administrators, personnel from multiple school districts, and industry partners; and makes regular site visits to partner schools. This person is also responsible for building relationships with new schools and business partners. This position reports to the Director of Dual Enrollment.

Required Qualifications:
  • Possess an associate degree (AS or AAS) or Higher (BS, BA, MS, MA etc. )

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Have a deep understanding of all levels of education including dual enrollment, AS degrees, AAS degrees, bachelor's degrees, master's degrees, and PhD degrees.
  • Understanding of Montana University System, 2-year colleges in Montana, and post-secondary pathways available within the MUS.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Ability to engage with high school students through digital media, i.e., online activities such as dual enrollment orientation
Physical Demands:
  • Candidates must be able to perform all essential job functions with or without a reasonable accommodation. This includes the physical ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds, transport event materials, and manage the complete setup and teardown of information booths.

Employment Eligibility
