Denmark Technical College is seeking a Dual Enrollment Coordinator to oversee and advance dual enrollment programs. You will advise students on academic requirements, coordinate partnerships with high schools and career centers, and guide students through enrollment procedures and orientations.

You will build relationships with students, staff, faculty, and the community, ensuring accurate program information and successful transitions from high school to college.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant program experience.
  • Preferred: experience in a higher education setting.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure with short deadlines.
  • Willingness to work varied hours including evenings and weekends; travel to off-site locations; moderate physical requirements.
  • Knowledge of South Carolina Department of Education guidelines and transfer procedures.

Job description

Under general supervision of the Director of Dual Enrollment, the Dual Enrollment Coordinator (Program Coordinator II) will communicate with students regarding academic requirements and academic programs. Ensure students are adhering to the College's guidelines and procedures to successfully enter and complete programs and course of study.

  • Creates and maintains partnerships with service area high schools and career centers, advising on academic requirements, and coordinating dual enrollment programs. Ensures that high school students enrolled in dual enrollment programs are guided toward successfully completing college-level courses that align with their chosen career pathways. Through strategic collaboration and meticulous oversight, the Liaison supports student's academic progress and enhances pathways from high school to college.
  • Provides essential support to students by guiding them through necessary forms, documents, and procedural requirements as well as conducting orientation sessions. Ensures that all dual enrollment students have a clear understanding of program expectations, financial requirements, and academic procedures, creating a seamless entry into the dual enrollment experience. Through careful management of documentation and orientation, the Liasion fosters a smooth transition and supports students' academic success.
  • Develops a thorough understanding of the College's academic curricula and effectively communicates program options, degree requirements, and academic pathways to dual enrollment students. Provides informed advisement, supports students in making strategic academic choices, fosters student success, and help students achieve educational goals. Makes targeted efforts to increase dual enrollment participation and maintains consistent, documented advisement interactions with students and key stakeholders.
  • Builds relationships with students, staff, faculty, and the wider community to support and promote the dual enrollment program, Actively engages with school counselors, CTE directors, and the public; ensures that program information is accurate, accessible, and widely understood. Maintains accurate enrollment records, hosts outreach events, and participates in community activities to increase awareness and foster strong partnerships that benefit students and schools alike.
  • Performs other duties as assigned, including contributing to strategic planning, campus engagement, accreditation, and professional development to enhance the effectiveness of dual enrollment program and align with the College's broader goals

Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of relevant program experience. Preferred: Previous experience in a higher education setting is preferred.

Employee must have strong organizational skills to be able to prioritize and complete work in a timely and accurate manner, work under pressure with short deadlines and demonstrate knowledge and experience in the academic recruitment process. In addition, be knowledgeable of the South Carolina Department of Education guidelines and transfer procedures. Employee must be willing to work varied hours including evenings and weekends if needed, routine travel to off-site locations, and moderate physical requirements.
