Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA and CMA certifications preferred per state regulations.
• 0-1 years experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and healthcare professionals.
• Knowledge of medications and administration basics.

Responsibilities

• Assist with medication under nurse supervision and document as required.
• Provide light housekeeping and room care to keep resident spaces tidy.
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, mobility, feeding.
• Assist residents with transfers, ambulation, and use of safety devices.
• Attend facility meetings and in-service trainings.
• Practice infection control in all aspects of resident care and assist with meals.
• Observe residents’ rights and report changes promptly.
• Assist with orientation of new staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Promote positive relations with residents and families.
• Provide restorative care as assigned by the nurse.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Provide clear direction to staff and others.
