Job summary

Unified Mammography Services is seeking a Dual Breast Imaging Technologist (Ultrasound/Mammography) for its Silver Spring, MD practice. The role performs ultrasound and 3D digital mammography, explains procedures to patients, and ensures quality imaging with Pacs/RIS systems.

Candidates must have ARRT(R) and ARRT Mammography credentials, plus 3+ years of breast ultrasound and mammography experience. This is a part-time, on-site position with competitive hourly pay and strong MQSA/ACR compliance

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program.
• ARRT Registration RT(R) Required.
• ARRT Certification in Mammography (M) Required.
• ARDMS Advanced Breast Registry or ARRT Breast Sonography eligibility within six months.
• Minimum of three years’ experience as a Breast Ultrasound Technologist and Mammography Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound and 3D digital mammography.
• Explain imaging procedures to patients to ensure understanding.
• Maintain imaging equipment and sterilization protocols.
• Evaluate images for diagnostic quality.
• Present findings to physicians and healthcare team.
• Maintain patient records and billing information.
• Work with radiologists and other technologists.
• Ensure timely delivery of imaging results.
• Support MQSA and ACR compliance.
• Complete compliance and education requirements.
