Job summary

Unified Mammography Services (UMAMS), part of Unified Women’s Healthcare, seeks a Multi‑Modality Breast Imaging Technologist for its Silver Spring, MD practice. You will perform ultrasound and 3D mammography, generate high‑quality images, and collaborate with radiologists and staff to support patient care.

The role requires ARRT registrations, MQSA compliance, and 3+ years of breast imaging experience. Position may involve travel within the Silver Spring area and requires strong communication

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program.
• ARRT Registration R.T.(R) Required.
• ARRT Certification in Mammography (M) Required.
• State Department of Radiation Control License (if applicable).
• Eligible for ARDMS Advanced Breast Registry or ARRT Breast Sonography certification within six months of hire.
• Minimum of three years’ experience as a Breast Ultrasound Technologist and Mammography Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive breast imaging procedures, including ultrasound and 3D digital mammography.
• Explain imaging procedures clearly to patients to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Maintain imaging environments and equipment, ensuring proper functionality and sterilization protocols.
• Evaluate images for diagnostic quality and review mammographic images for technical or anatomical issues.
• Present images and preliminary findings to physicians and healthcare team.
• Maintain accurate patient records and related paperwork for ultrasound and mammography exams.
• Complete administrative tasks to ensure timely interpretation and delivery of results.
• Ensure compliance with MQSA and ACR requirements for mammography.
