Job summary

Thrive Restaurant Group in Great Bend, KS is seeking a Line Cook (Kitchen Team Member) to join our dual-branded Applebee’s / IHOP kitchen. You’ll be responsible for your assigned station, preparing menu items from both brands according to recipes and standards to deliver great tasting, visually appealing dishes.

Hours: Sun-Thu 7am-10pm; Fri-Sat 7am-midnight. You’ll cross-train across stations, learn brand procedures, uphold food safety, and contribute to a fast-paced, family-oriented team

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn as part of a team.
• Ability to prepare menu items for both Applebee's and IHOP while maintaining brand standards.
• Strong reading, writing, basic math, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to safely operate knives, slicers, grills, fryers, and other kitchen equipment.
• Mobility to move throughout the entire shift.
• Ability to transport items weighing up to 50 pounds several times a day.
• Ability to respond appropriately in emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items according to Applebee's and IHOP recipes, plate presentation standards, and product specifications.
• Complete all assigned food preparation and station prep work before and during each shift.
• Set up and stock workstations according to station diagrams and operational standards.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and safe food handling procedures at all times.
• Clean and sanitize workstations, equipment, and food preparation areas before, during, and after each shift.
• Complete assigned daily, weekly, and periodic cleaning responsibilities.
