Job description

Dual Angiography IR/CT Technologist (RADLG TCHNO PRN)

Join to apply for the Dual Angiography IR/CT Technologist (RADLG TCHNO PRN) role at UC Davis Clinical and Translational Science Center.

The principal radiologic technologist will assist with highly specialized diagnostic and therapeutic interventional radiology procedures and perform CT examinations. This incumbent must have experience in both IR and CT and be able to move between modalities frequently.

The incumbent is responsible for maintaining high accuracy and awareness of all radiation and patient safety issues involved with invasive and diagnostic exams. They should have a thorough understanding of anatomy, physiology, radiation safety, interventional supplies, and equipment operation. Recognizing and resolving equipment issues, anticipating patient needs, and demonstrating professional judgment and critical thinking are essential. The ability to perform calmly under stress and interact cooperatively with radiologists, clinicians, and peers is required.

This position is eligible for an $8,000 sign-on bonus and may be eligible for a relocation bonus.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT)
  • Valid CRT license
  • Valid CA Fluoroscopy permit
  • ARRT Certification
  • CPR Card
  • Ability to operate radiology equipment, including radiographic/fluoroscopic, interventional radiology, and surgical equipment
  • Ability to adapt to new programs and equipment upgrades
  • Experience in operating CT equipment to produce quality images
  • Knowledge of radiology principles, anatomy, radiation protection, and surgical procedures
Preferred Qualifications
  • ARRT VI certification within 6 months of hire
  • ARRT CT certification within 6 months of hire
  • I.V. Certification and Contrast Administration experience (preferred)
Department Description

The Department of Radiology provides 24/7 imaging services for inpatients and outpatients, both adult and pediatric.

Position Details
  • Salary Range: $55.48 - $71.78 per hour
  • Full-time, 90-100% FTE, 10-12 hour shifts
  • Location: Main Hospital
  • Union-represented, benefits eligible
  • On-site position
