Job summary

White Lodging is seeking a Cluster Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day financial operations for a group of hotels, ensuring accurate reporting and strong internal controls. You will counsel hotel department heads, assist with budgets and forecasts, and generate timely financial reports.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and at least two years of hotel accounting experience, with proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • A minimum of two years of hotel accounting experience is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of financial systems, internal controls, and hospitality operations.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence operational teams.
  • Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Comfort with hotel systems (PMS, POS) and intermediate Excel and reporting software skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash control functions for multiple hotels.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, USALI, and all applicable White Lodging policies and standards.
  • Provide financial insight and counsel to hotel department heads, supporting data-driven decisions.
  • Assist in developing and reviewing annual budgets and forecasts while identifying opportunities for savings and efficiency.
  • Generate accurate, timely financial reports and share key insights with hotel leadership.
  • Maintain a strong control environment to safeguard assets and mitigate business risks.
  • Lead and mentor accounting team members, supporting their professional development.
  • Monitor audit findings, implement corrective actions, and ensure system data accuracy.
  • Stay current on tax compliance, licensing, permits, and vendor agreements.
