Job summary

Knight Federal Solutions seeks a Senior Army Fires SME to support ARNG Mission Command Training and provide doctrinal training across battalion to division levels. You will develop scenarios, script writing, tactical orders, and MSEL injects for realistic training environments.

Responsibilities include delivering FIRES training, coordinating with MC systems, and coaching staff through planning and execution of collective events. A security clearance is preferred and field experience is required.

Qualifications

• Senior Army leadership experience in a training management role.
• In-depth knowledge of Army Fires doctrine and MDMP processes.
• Experience delivering doctrinal training to large military staffs.
• Proficiency with fires-related systems and simulations (LVC-G).
• Completion of CGSC or equivalent military education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in current Army Fires doctrine and synchronization processes, MDMP, and emerging Army/Joint Fires doctrine.
• Serve as Fires trainer to Battalion–Division staff, executing FIRES responsibilities.
• Develops and documents FIRES products and annexes, including ANNEX D and FASP.
• Plan and conduct XTs/CPXs/STAFFEXs/Fires EXs/LOGEXs and MDMP workshops.
• Provide on-site feedback to unit commanders and staff; conduct AARs for training events.

Doctrinal Training Team (DTT) SMEs support ARNG unit commanders and staff, battalion through division providing doctrinal workshops, over the shoulder training and coaching during individual and collective event support at unit designated training sites. The Multi-Domain Fires SME is responsible for collective training to include the participation in exercise design, planning, preparation, execution, and assessment activities. Assists in the development of scenarios, script writing, tactical orders, and other supporting JELC products.RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:Proficient in current Army Fires doctrine and synchronization processes, MDMP, and stays current with emerging Army and Joint Fires doctrine.Serve as a Fires trainer to Battalion - Division Operations Officer, Executive Officer or Fire Support Officer for FIRES capabilities and responsibilities on the battlefield, as well as the role of a FAB.Familiar with MC Systems: AFATDS, AMDWS and CPOF.Develops Scheme of Fires and ANNEX D (FIRES) Including: The FASP (Field Artillery Support Plan), Scheme of FIRES, Write Field Artillery Tasks (FAT), and able to complete all FIRES products (FSCM, HPTL, TSS/AGM, etc.), Radar Deployment OrderCapable of replicating the functions of higher HQs within the Fires WFF to Battalion through Division training audiences (Targeting Meeting and HICOM products to stimulate training)Coach and train the coordination of Fire Support and assist in the planning and development of realistic Large Scale Ground Combat Operations exercises and training.SME in military live, virtual, constructive, and gaming (LVC-G) training methodology and procedures to include Simulations and Stimulations and other Mission Command Training enablers.Acts as an advisor, coach, and training SME for division and below units from planning through execution, to include After Action Review (AAR) of MCTSP driven collective events.Provides doctrinal training subject matter expertise to support live and constructive command and control information systems training.Plans, coordinates, prepares, and conducts FTXs, CPXs, STAFFEXs, Fires EXs, LOGEXs, Digital COMMEXs, Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP) workshops, Command Post (CP) proficiency training and other supporting events associated with these exercises.Develops doctrinally current training materials including higher command operations orders, reports, briefings and leads requested academic workshops.Provides on-site honest and relevant feedback to unit Commanders and appropriate staff members in the form of informal discussions.Prepares or provides input into the Final Exercise Report (FER) that addresses the planning, preparation, and execution of each fully executed DTT training event.Will conduct in-depth research on evolving doctrine, theater specific operations, lessons learned, and newly developed tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) used in the development of MSEL, or simulation control injects that accurately replicate the operational environment that the training is designed for. Must determine the appropriate exercise inject methods and entry point.Leading up to and during Collective events, must synchronize the capabilities of MTC training capabilities assets.Will have access to and regularly work with Government sensitive data and maybe asked to attend Government meetings and conferences.Analyzes progress and develop necessary recovery plans and/or alternatives.Ensures adherence to company and Site Policies, Practices and Procedures appropriately.Safeguard and maintain company and Government furnished equipment, materials, and facilities.Coordinate required safety information through direct coordination with government leadership.Ensure compliance with Government and contract guidelines, regulations, policies, and standards.Reports directly to the DTT Lead.Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:Must have previous senior Army or ARNG leadership experience with a training management background and preferably, Combat Training Center (CTC) experience.Primary staff experience in the respective WFF at Battalion or higher.Previous Battalion or higher commander preferred (or similar).At least six (6) years’ combined staff experience within the WFF. Or eight (8) years’ specialized MCTSP experience in this type of duty position.Recent experience working within the Army National Guard training support system, or a similar system.Two (2) or more years working within WFF area Army Command and Control Information Systems.EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:BA/BS subject immaterial, MA/MS (Preferred). Completion of the Command and General Staff College or equivalent level military schooling (Preferred).ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance and meet other eligibility requirements for access to classified information.Working Conditions:Position: Office environment, occasionally outdoors.
