Job description

DTC Operations Coordinator — Laurel Ridge Winery
Part-Time | Monday–Friday | morning to mid-afternoon shift (depending on season may be less days/hours) | 20–30 hrs/week (seasonal) | $20–$23/hr

Laurel Ridge is one of Oregon's oldest family-owned and operated wineries. We're looking for an organized, dependable Operations Coordinator to keep the behind-the-scenes side of our tasting room running smoothly — someone who notices when shipping supplies are low before anyone else does, who'd rather fix a small problem than mention it and move on, and who enjoys being the person other departments can count on.

Why You'll Love This Job
  • Essential, high-trust role: You won't be pouring wine at the tasting bar, but you'll be behind everything that happens around it — inventory, orders, shipments, and guest care
  • Weekday schedule: Monday–Friday hours will vary depending on season, but a lot of shifts will look like 9am-2:30pm
  • Variety: Ordering, inventory, shipping, facilities, and customer service — no two days look the same
What You'll Do
Ordering & Purchasing
  • Place and track orders for tasting room, club, and office supplies (packaging, shipping materials, office supplies, etc.)
  • Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers, and follow up on order issues or delays
  • Monitor stock levels and flag reorder needs before they become a problem
Inventory Management
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies
  • Maintain par levels for tasting room and wine club stock
  • Process inventory transfers and keep accurate, up-to-date records across systems
Shipping & Fulfillment
  • Pack, label, and prepare DTC and wine club orders for shipment
  • Coordinate pickups with carriers and track outgoing shipments
  • Follow state shipping compliance requirements for wine sales
Customer Service
  • Respond to guest and wine club member inquiries by phone and email in a timely, professional, and gracious manner
  • Create and manage tasting reservations
  • Assist with event setup and logistics coordination as needed (you won't be hosting at the table, but you'll help make sure everything is ready before guests arrive)
Facilities
  • Oversee day-to-day facility upkeep and coordinate with maintenance vendors on repairs or projects
  • Manage office equipment, supplies, and general organization of back-of-house spaces
  • Keep an eye on the property and flag anything that needs attention
What You Bring
  • 1–3 years of experience in operations, inventory, administrative support, or hospitality (wine industry experience a plus, not required)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills — you'll be a voice of the winery on the phone and by email
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities without losing track of details
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and general point-of-sale or inventory software; willingness to learn our systems
You'll thrive here if you're
  • Self-directed
  • Proactive
  • Detail-oriented
  • Reliable
  • Comfortable juggling shifting priorities
Requirements
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must be able to occasionally lift and move cases of wine (up to ~40 lbs) and be on your feet for stretches of time
  • Must be available Monday–Friday, with occasional flexibility for events or shipping deadlines
Schedule & Pay

Schedule: Part-time, Monday–Friday, 20–30 hours/week depending on the season — hours run toward the higher end during harvest, club releases, and event-heavy stretches, and toward the lower end during quieter months

Pay: $20–$23/hour, depending on experience

Growth: We're a growing winery that promotes from within
