Job summary

Misericordia is seeking a DT DSP to work within our Developmental Training Programs in Chicago. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 4 pm, with pay between $20.00 and $21.00 per hour.

You will assist with lesson plans and daily living activities, and help create a supportive, educational setting for residents. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of relevant experience, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma and/or GED.
• Minimum of one year of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be comfortable driving vehicles of all sizes; driving record should be good.

Responsibilities

We are looking to hire aDSP to work within our Developmental Training Programs.

As a DT DSP you will:

• Assist with running lesson plans, goals and objectives
• Assist residents with activities of daily living
• Help create a nurturing, educational environment for our residents

Qualifications:

• Must have High School Diploma and/or GED
• Minimum of one year of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, preferably with individuals requiring behavior support
• Has a valid driver’s license – preferred, good driving record and comfortable driving vehicles of all sizes
• The ability to work with individuals with a variety of intellectual disabilities
• Able to demonstrate flexibility
• Ability to work effectively with DT team members
• Committed to ensuring the rights and highest quality of life for the participants
• Ability to meet the essential functions of the DT DSP job description
• The DT DSP must successfully complete 4 week of paid training upon hire
• This position is Monday through Friday (8 am to 4 pm)

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
