Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Be empowered to meet the customer where they are and personalize their experience:

• Greet every customer with a helpful and friendly approach, read customer cues, match their needs with an elevated level of service, and meet the customer where they are at.
• Share the benefits of the DSW (Designer Shoe Warehouse) Loyalty program and enroll new members.
• Answer questions regarding product and complete customer transactions through either in-store sales or digital orders.

Be committed to the customer having a consistent positive experience:

• Maintain a neat, clean, and safe environment for internal and external customers, including cleaning and organizing the store and stockroom.
• Receive inbound freight, prepare, and place merchandise on the sales floor per DSW standards, complete markdowns, maintain clearance standards, and organize stockroom.

Leverage in-store and digital services to bring the power of shoes to life:

• Complete fulfillment functions including locating items, inspecting product condition, packaging, and labeling for pickup/delivery.
• Use company tools to check product availability and assist customers.

Prioritize customer service:

• Complete transactions following company policies, ensure accuracy in cash handling, and operate the register.
• Partner with the Customer Experience Leader for escalated customer issues.

Bring fun and energy to your work:

• Participate in team meetings and training, be receptive to feedback, and support a team-oriented, inclusive environment.

Required Skills:

• Availability to meet business needs.
• Professional, friendly, customer service-oriented attitude.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills.
• Proficiency with technology (registers, iPhones, calculators).
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, stoop, kneel, and crouch as needed.
