Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Be empowered to meet the customer where they are and personalize their experience:

  • Greet every customer with a helpful and friendly approach, read customer cues, match their needs with an elevated level of service, and meet the customer where they are at.
  • Share the benefits of the DSW (Designer Shoe Warehouse) Loyalty program and enroll new members.
  • Answer questions regarding product and complete customer transactions through either in-store sales or digital orders.

Be committed to providing a consistent positive experience:

  • Maintain a neat, clean, and safe environment for internal and external customers, including clearing trash, cleaning the store, and organizing stockrooms.
  • Receive inbound freight, prepare, and place merchandise on the sales floor, complete markdowns, and organize stockroom.

Leverage in-store and digital services:

  • Complete fulfillment functions, including locating items, inspecting products, packaging, and labeling for pickup/delivery.
  • Use company tools to check product availability and assist customers accordingly.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Prioritize customer service:

  • Handle transactions accurately, follow policies, and partner with leadership for escalated issues.
  • Follow asset protection policies.

Bring fun and energy:

  • Participate in team meetings and training, be open to coaching, and support inclusivity.
Required Skills:
  • Availability to meet business needs.
  • Professional, friendly, customer-focused attitude.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Proficiency with technology (registers, devices).
  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
Experience:
  • No prior retail experience required.
