Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Customer Engagement:

• Greet every customer with a helpful and friendly approach, read customer cues, match their needs with an elevated level of service, and meet the customer where they are at.
• Share the benefits of the DSW Loyalty program and enroll new members.
• Answer questions regarding product and complete customer transactions through in-store sales or digital orders.

Maintain Store Environment:

• Ensure a neat, clean, and safe environment for customers and staff, including clearing trash, cleaning, and organizing.
• Receive inbound freight, prepare, and place merchandise on the sales floor, complete markdowns, and organize the stockroom.

Leverage In-store and Digital Services:

• Complete fulfillment functions, locate items, inspect products, and ensure readiness for pickup/delivery.
• Use company tools to search product availability and assist customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Customer Transactions and Asset Protection:

• Process transactions accurately, handle cash, and operate the register.
• Partner with management on escalated customer issues.
• Follow all asset protection policies.

Bring Fun and Energy:

• Participate actively in team meetings and training.
• Be open to coaching and demonstrate teamwork and inclusivity.

Required Skills:

• Availability to meet business needs.
• Professional, friendly, and customer service-oriented.
• Good communication skills.
• Proficient with store technology (register, iPhone, calculator).
• Ability to stand/walk up to 100%, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform physical tasks regularly.

Experience: No previous retail experience required.
