Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet every customer with a helpful and friendly approach, read customer cues, match their needs with an elevated level of service, and meet the customer where they are at.
- Share the benefits of the DSW Loyalty program and enroll new members.
- Answer questions regarding product and complete customer transactions through in-store sales or digital orders.
- Maintain a neat, clean, and safe environment for customers and staff, including cleaning, organizing, and stocking as per DSW standards.
- Receive inbound freight, prepare, and place merchandise on the sales floor, complete markdowns, and organize the stockroom.
- Complete all functions of the fulfillment process, including locating items, inspecting products, packaging, and labeling for pickup/delivery.
- Use company tools to search product availability and assist customers in ordering.
- Follow all asset protection policies and procedures.
- Process customer transactions accurately, partner with the CEL for escalations, and operate the register efficiently.
- Participate actively in team meetings and training, support an inclusive environment, and be receptive to coaching and feedback.
Required Skills
- Availability to meet the needs of the business.
- Professional, friendly, and customer service-oriented demeanor.
- Ability to move quickly and efficiently to meet expectations.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency with technology such as registers, iPhone, and calculators.
- Ability to stand or walk for up to 100% of the shift and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl regularly.
