Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Be empowered to meet the customer where they are and personalize their experience:

• Greet every customer with a helpful and friendly approach, read customer cues, match their needs with an elevated level of service, and meet the customer where they are at.
• Share the benefits of the DSW Loyalty program and enroll new members.
• Answer questions regarding product and complete customer transactions through in-store sales or digital orders.

Be committed to providing a positive customer experience:

• Maintain a neat, clean, and safe environment for customers and staff, including cleaning and organizing the store and stockroom.
• Receive inbound freight, prepare, and organize merchandise on the sales floor per DSW standards, including markdowns and clearance standards.

Leverage in-store and digital services to bring shoes to life:

• Complete fulfillment functions, including locating items, inspecting, packaging, and labeling for pickup/delivery.
• Use company tools to search product availability and assist customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Prioritize customer service:

• Process transactions accurately, handle cash, and partner with leadership for escalated issues.
• Follow all asset protection policies.

Bring energy and teamwork:

• Participate in team meetings and training, be receptive to feedback, and support inclusivity.

Required Skills:

• Availability to meet business needs.
• Friendly, professional, and customer service-oriented.
• Good communication skills and proficiency with store technology.
• Ability to stand/walk up to 100%, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform physical tasks regularly.

Experience:

• No previous retail experience required.
