Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Be empowered to meet the customer where they are and personalize their experience:

  • Greet every customer with a helpful and friendly approach, read customer cues, match their needs with an elevated level of service, and meet the customer where they are at.
  • Share the benefits of the DSW (Designer Shoe Warehouse) Loyalty program and enroll new members.
  • Answer questions regarding product and complete customer transactions through either in-store sales or digital orders.

Be committed to the customer having a consistent positive experience:

  • Maintain a neat, clean, and safe environment for internal and external customers, including clearing trash, cleaning the store, and organizing stock.
  • Receive inbound freight, prepare, and place merchandise on the sales floor per DSW standards, complete markdowns, and maintain the stockroom.

Leverage in-store and digital services:

  • Complete fulfillment functions including locating items, inspecting, packaging, and labeling for pickup/delivery.
  • Use company tools to check product availability and assist customers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Customer service and transaction responsibilities:

  • Process transactions following company policies, ensure accuracy, and partner with the CEL for escalated issues.
  • Follow asset protection policies.

Bring fun and energy:

  • Participate in team meetings and training, be open to coaching, and support inclusivity.
Required Skills:
  • Availability to meet business needs.
  • Professional, friendly, customer service-oriented.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Proficient with technology (register, iPhone, calculator).
  • Ability to stand or walk for up to 100% of the time.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl regularly.
