Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Be empowered to meet the customer where they are and personalize their experience:

• Greet every customer with a helpful and friendly approach, read customer cues, match their needs with an elevated level of service, and meet the customer where they are at.
• Share the benefits of the DSW Loyalty program and enroll new members.
• Answer questions regarding products and complete customer transactions through in-store sales or digital orders.

Be committed to providing a consistent positive experience:

• Maintain a neat, clean, and safe environment for customers and staff, including cleaning and organizing as per standards.
• Receive inbound freight, prepare, and display merchandise, complete markdowns, and organize stockrooms.

Leverage in-store and digital services to bring shoes to life:

• Complete fulfillment functions such as locating, inspecting, packaging, and labeling products for pickup or delivery.
• Use company tools to check product availability and assist customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Prioritize customer service:

• Process transactions accurately, operate cash registers, and partner with leadership for escalated issues.
• Follow all asset protection policies.

Bring energy and fun:

• Participate in team meetings and training, be receptive to feedback, and support an inclusive team environment.

Required Skills:

• Availability to meet the needs of the business.
• Professional, friendly, and customer-focused attitude.
• Good communication skills and proficiency with technology (registers, mobile devices, etc.).
• Ability to stand or walk for up to 100% of shifts and lift up to 50 pounds.

Experience:

• No previous retail experience required.
