Job summary

Rimland Services NFP in Evanston, IL is hiring DSPs to provide hands-on support to individuals in their homes, helping with meals, social skills, companionship, and daily activities toward long-term goals.

The role requires full COVID-19 vaccination, a valid driver's license, and a willingness to drive company vehicles. Shift is Monday–Thursday, 2PM–12AM; full-time benefits include paid leave, health and life insurance after 90 days, a 401(k) plan, paid training, and a monthly fitness stipend.

Qualifications

• COVID-19 vaccination is required and booster if eligible.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to drive company vehicles.
• Provide high school completion document (diploma, GED) at hire and meet work eligibility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support to individuals in their homes.
• Assist with meals, daily activities, and goal-oriented tasks.
• Assist with social skills, companionship, and community outings.
• Support individuals in achieving long-term personal goals.

• Base rate: $19/hour
• $22/hour if certified to administer medication (we can train you if you are not currently certified!)

About the Position

We are hiring DSPs who are professional, energetic, and nurturing. You will provide hands‑on support to individuals in their homes as they work on daily activities and long-term goals. This includes activities such as meal preparation, enhancing social skills, providing companionship, community outings, and more.

Location & Schedule

Note: Your shift will not vary and you must be able to work the entire shift, every week.

Location: Evanston, IL

Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 2PM - 12AM

Requirements

You must meet the following requirements:

Pass:

• A fingerprint criminal background check
• A child abuse and neglect check
• A drug screen. We do not test for THC (the active ingredient in cannabis)

Provide:

• An original document (no photocopies) showing high school completion or high school equivalency. Examples include: High school diploma, GED certificate, college transcript
• Residency for the past 2 years
• Current & original documents that verify your identity & ability to legally work in the United States
• Two verifiable employment references within the last 3 years
