Qualifications

• One year experience working with persons with developmental disabilities and/or a degree in a related field preferred.
• 18 years of age or older
• Must have a valid New Jersey driver’s license with ≤5 points.
• Ability to drive agency vehicles to transport service recipients regularly.
• Be willing to learn computer programs.
• Team player with residents and staff.
• CPR/First Aid and emergency evacuation knowledge or training required.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Program Director to provide quality services to residents and uphold agency philosophy.
• Work with the Director and Associate Director in supervising and training residential counselors.
• Prepare menus, grocery lists and food shopping; schedule activities; manage medications and liaise with pharmacy; coordinate fire drills; assist with admin tasks; participate in on-call responsibilities.
• Monitor health issues and clothing needs of residents; ensure home meets agency and government standards.
• Maintain written documentation and collaborate with administration and state staff during inspections.
