Job summary

Wake Enterprises - B4R is seeking an Instructor - DSP Peer Mentor to direct and facilitate instructional activities for staff and participants in the WE WITHOUT WALLS and WE Create programs.

The role focuses on teaching life skills, implementing engagement techniques, and developing practical learning aids while ensuring staff have the necessary training and resources to empower participants daily.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience as DSP/Peer Mentor or Instructor in IDD/BH settings preferred.
• Strong instructional, listening, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in virtual/telehealth activities and digital learning tools.
• Attention to detail for timely, accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Direct and lead instructional sessions (in-person and telehealth) focusing on independent life skills and goal achievement.
• Provide peer coaching and instructional resources to DSPs and staff.
• Utilize learning materials and strategies tailored to WE WITHOUT WALLS and WE Create programs.
• Complete clinical, administrative, and funder-mated paperwork accurately and on time.
• Support daily program operations and monitor participant progress.
