Job summary

CCARC, Inc. is seeking a DSP Lead Instructor for a 40-hour work week in New Britain, CT. The role combines administrative support with direct resident care, under the Residential Services Manager.

The position emphasizes training staff on programs and goals, coordinating scheduling, and maintaining accurate health and program records. A high school diploma and 3 years of disability services experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and three years experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
• Must have valid CT Driver's License, be insurable with Agency carrier. Individual Home Support employees are required to have a vehicle for use and maintain adequate insurance.
• Must complete the Agency’s Employee Training
• Certification and training, including but not limited to: CPR, First Aid, PMT (Psychological/Physical Management Training) and DDS Medication Administration
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions
• Experience with Microsoft products,use of email and Therap preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist the Residential Services Manager in administrative tasks and staff training
• Provide direct care support to residents and monitor health needs
• Review and ensure accuracy of individual program data
• Coordinate staffing and on-call coverage
• Maintain documentation and communication with families and external providers
