Job summary

CCARC, Inc. in New Britain, CT is seeking a DSP Lead Instructor for the SYB 40 hours/week program.

The role provides direct care support to residents and assists the Residential Services Manager with administrative functions while ensuring regulatory compliance and residents’ well-being. The incumbent will train staff, monitor program data, coordinate scheduling, handle medication administration and safety procedures, and communicate with families and healthcare providers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and three years' experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Must have valid CT Driver's License and be insurable; vehicle required for Home Support employees.
• Certification and training including CPR, First Aid, PMT and DDS Medication Administration.

Responsibilities

• Train staff on individual programs and goals; review program data for accuracy.
• Arrange coverage for staff absences and manage on-call coverage.
• Manage monthly staffing schedule and obtain final approvals.
• Maintain documentation and coordinate health and hygiene-related appointments with families and providers.
• Provide personal and emotional care, including medication administration and safety procedures.
