Job summary

Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota is hiring a Direct Support Professional Lead in Minnesota. You will support individuals with disabilities by developing and monitoring plans, and ensuring accurate client records and medication documentation.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, driving license, and background clearance. Start pay is $18.00/hour with potential to raise to $18.50 after six months, plus a $1,000 hiring bonus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or experience working with vulnerable populations required.
• Experience with individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Background Study clearance required; driver’s license and clean MVR may be required.
• Medication administration training if needed (may be obtained after hire).
• First Aid/CPR certification may be obtained after hire.
• Ability to read, write and use a computer; basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and monitoring of individual plans and monitor client files for accuracy.
• Ensure medication administration records, progress notes, and reports are complete.
• Maintain a safe environment and address safety hazards.
• Perform documentation and record-keeping; participate in trainings and meetings.
