Job summary

ENMRSH, Inc. in Clovis, NM is looking for a compassionate Job Coach to support individuals with disabilities at community work sites. The role requires transporting clients to Portales three days per week and providing direct instruction on tasks and good work habits.

Shifts are Monday–Friday, 6:30am–5:00pm (hours vary). A high school diploma/GED, REAL ID driver’s license, reliable transportation, and background/drug checks are required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and speak English well.
• Ability to pass background screening and/or obtain base clearance.
• Ability to pass drug screening.
• Ability to pass a driving record check.
• Possess a working telephone for timekeeping and communications.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing, regular support to individuals in place of employment.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English well.
• Possess minimal computer skills and be able to use a computer keyboard and mouse.
• Ability to drive a vehicle and transport clients in a personal vehicle.

Job description

Shift: Monday-Friday between 6:30am-5:00pm (hours vary)

Must be willing to transport to and from Portales 3 days a week.

Provides direct teaching of job tasks, skills, and good work habits to individuals with disabilities (clients) at community work sites. As a working job coach, you will be working alongside the clients as custodian and shelf stocker. Job Coaches must demonstrate the following characteristics: ability to work with and develop a professional relationship with individuals with disabilities; possess reasonable writing, communication, and teaching skills; relate to persons from different cultural, economic, and social backgrounds; show a sensitivity to mental and physical challenges people face; provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers; and be able to adapt to changing work conditions with initiative.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma/GED
• 21 years or older to transport clients or drive company vehicles
• Possess a REAL ID compliant valid driver’s license
• Possess current vehicle insurance
• Ability to pass background screening and/or obtain base clearance
• Ability to pass drug screening
• Ability to pass a driving record check
• Possess a working telephone (this requirement reflects the fact that many positions rely on a timekeeping application to record work hours)
• Reliable transportation

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Requires handling paperwork with the use of hands, arms, and fingers
• Must be able to read and write legibly.
• Be able to balance, climb, bend, stoop, and kneel.
• Lift up to 25 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Walk, stand, and/or sit for eight hours per day.
