Job summary
Volunteers of America Mid-States seeks a Direct Support Professional II – In Home Support to empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live more independently and participate in their communities in New Albany, Indiana. Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
- CPR/First Aid and Medication Administration certifications preferred or obtainable.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the comfort, health, and safety of individuals served.
- Assist with medical, nutritional, and personal care needs.
- Implement individual support plans and behavior support plans.
- Provide transportation to appointments, activities, and events.
- Help develop independent living, communication, and self-advocacy skills.
