Sunbreak Society in Bend, Oregon is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to assist individuals with development al disabilities. You will promote independence, ensure safety, and provide meaningful daily living support.

Join a supportive team with flexible shifts (full-time and part-time). Training is provided, and you will collaborate with families and healthcare providers to deliver high-quality care and positive outcomes for the clients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Patient, empathetic and passionate about helping others.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
• Must pass background check and may require valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities including personal care, meal prep, and medication management.
• Follow behavior support plans.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Encourage clients in developing life skills and achieving personal goals.
• Ensure safety and security of clients during activities, transport, and outings.
• Maintain accurate records of services, progress, and incidents.
• Collaborate with families, support teams, and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.
• Participate in training and professional development to stay current with best practices in the field.
