Family Residences and Essential Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional to work closely with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a hands-on, supportive capacity. You will help residents achieve personal outcomes, develop daily living skills, and participate in health and safety planning.

The role requires compassionate communication, teamwork, and reliable documentation. Training is provided, and a drug-free work environment is maintained.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience performing related duties preferred.
• Not required, training provided during hire as needed.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Proficient computer skills preferred.
• Proficient writing skills with grasp of basic grammar and spelling.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with flexibility.
• Must be efficient, well organized, and have excellent communication skills.
• Valid NYS Driver’s License and satisfy criteria to be a driver for the agency is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Identify and help people realize their personal life goals.
• Advocate for the people we support in various situations.
• Teach new life skills and promote health and safety.
• Document service provision and daily notes accurately.
• Transport clients to appointments and outings in agency vehicles.
• Administer medication when needed and ensure timely paperwork.
