ViaQuest, Inc. in Ohio is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in our ICF / Group Homes.

The role includes on-the-job training and opportunities for advancement in a compassionate, team-based setting. Responsibilities include supervising and teaching individuals, assisting with daily living tasks, meal prep, and maintaining a safe living environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record.

Responsabilités

• Providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities and ensuring health and safety.
• Administering site training to new hires.
• Assisting with shift coverage as needed.
• Supervising, teaching, and assisting individuals in daily activities.
• Carrying out meal preparation and maintaining a clean, safe living environment.
• Providing personal care assistance and companion care.

$17.75-$18.75 per hour

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities – our goal is to foster increased independence, choice and empowerment while assuring that their health and safety needs are being met at all times.
• Administering site training to new hires.
• Assisting with shift coverage as needed.
• Supervising, teaching and assisting individuals in all aspects of his/her life.
• Completing various household tasks including meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
• Providing personal care assistance.
• Companion care / Caregiving

Requirements for this position include (What You'll Need)

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver's License
  • Motor Vehicle Record must specific requirements including (but not limited to):
    • No OVI/DUI's, reckless operations, or speeding violations more than 20 MPH over posted limit
    • No more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years or more than 5 points
• Reliable vehicle with active insurance
• Ability to lift, push, or carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, balance, and assist individuals as needed
