Job summary

At Peace Health Care Agency invites experienced Direct Support Professionals to join our team and provide compassionate, person-centered care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in home and community settings.

You will support daily living activities, promote independence, document progress, and collaborate with families and other professionals while upholding privacy and HIPAA standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) required.
• Experience supporting individuals with behavioral needs and implementing BSPs preferred.
• Must have valid driver''s license and pass required background checks and screenings.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support with daily living activities, personal care, mobility, and companionship.
• Encourage independence, social engagement, and community participation.
• Implement individualized care plans and Behavioral Support Plans (BSPs).
• Support individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and person-centered environment.
• Accompany individuals to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and community activities.
• Provide reliable transportation as needed.
• Accurately document services, progress notes, and goal tracking.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations and agency policies.
