Job summary

At Peace Health Care Agency is seeking an experienced Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide quality care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in home and community settings. You will assist with daily living, personal care, mobility, accompany to appointments, document progress, and implement BSPs while upholding HIPAA and person-centered care.

Flexible schedule; full-time or part-time positions available; valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) is required.
• Experience supporting individuals with behavioral needs and BSPs is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Compassionate, dependable, patient, and adaptable.
• Ability to pass required background checks and screenings.

• Encourage independence, social engagement, and community participation.
• Implement individualized care plans and Behavioral Support Plans (BSPs).
• Support individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and person-centered environment.
• Accompany individuals to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and community activities.
• Provide reliable transportation as needed.
• Accurately document services, progress notes, and goal tracking.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations and agency policies.
