Job summary

Thrive In Dignity in Elizabethton, TN is seeking a Caregiver/DSP to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their own homes. You will provide compassionate, dignified care and assist with daily activities to help clients stay independent.

You will assist with ADLs such as bathing, dressing, meal prep, light housekeeping, laundry, and reminders for medications. This role emphasizes companionship, safety, and empowering clients to live their best day, every day.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Experience in care-giving is preferred, not required.
• Experience working with IDD is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist adults with disabilities with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Bathing, dressing, light housekeeping, meal prepping/groceries, laundry.
• Medication reminders and fall prevention; provide companionship and support errands.

Thrive In Dignity is actively seeking a Caregiver/DSP with experience in supporting adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (IDD) in the Elizabethton area. We are non-medical, providing in-home care and excel in supporting individuals with dignity and respect.

As a direct support staff, you will be assisting adults with disabilities with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).

Those activities may include but are not limited to:

• Bathing and other personal hygiene tasks


• Dressing


• Light housekeeping


• Meal prepping/grocery shopping


• Laundry


• Medication reminders


• Fall prevention


• Companionship


• Errands

Requirements:
