Job summary

Maxim Healthcare is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in achieving personal goals and improving their quality of life. You will help with daily living activities, provide transportation as needed, and document progress toward each client’s goals.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, TB screening, CPR/FA certification, and an active driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• TB screening is required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Experience working with individuals with IDD is a plus.
• Active driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal prep, and household chores.
• May transport clients to and from community activities.
• Support individuals in achieving developmental goals and fostering independence.
• Encourage community participation and accompany individuals on outings and social activities.
• Document observations and progress on specific goals and ensure a safe environment.
