Job summary

Parker Personal Care Homes, Inc. (PPCH) is seeking dedicated Direct Support Professionals to support our day program members in Lakewood, CO.

You’ll provide meaningful services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, promote independence, and help with daily living activities. This entry-level role offers on-the-job training, a competitive pay range from $20.00 to $22.00 per hour, a sign-on bonus (excluding internal candidates), and full-time benefits including paid

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Successful completion of PPCH training.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or other similar software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide meaningful, educational, and supportive services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities receiving community-based services.
• Promote program members’ independence, physical and emotional well-being, and sense of community through activities such as volunteering, recreation, and community education.
• Support members’ behavioral needs using individualized redirection and deescalation techniques.
• Assist members in activities of daily living (ADLs) such as personal care and hygiene or moving to and from a wheelchair as needed.
• Transport members between their homes and community activities.
• Document members’ participation and progress toward personal goals per their person-centered plan.
• Comply with PPCH policies and state and federal regulations.
