Job summary

ViaQuest Day & Employment Services is seeking a full-time Direct Support Professional to provide care for individuals with developmental disabilities in our Day Program. Training is provided in full, with no prior experience required. The role includes direct care, supervision, and transportation responsibilities.

You will work Monday to Friday in the 1st shift, receive paid training, medical/dental/vision coverage, a 401k plan, PTO, annual pay increases, and an employee referral bonus program.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver's License with MVR requirements (no OVI/DUI, reckless operations, or speeding violations >20 MPH).
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, balance, and assist individuals as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Supervise, teach and assist individuals in all aspects of daily life.
• Transport individuals between homes and the Day Program using a company van.
• Participate in community outings with transportation and assistance.

A Great Opportunity / $17.50 per Hour / Full-Time, M-F 1st Shift

At ViaQuest Day & Employment Services we provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities within our Day Program. Training for this position is provided in its entirety so no experience is required.

Responsibilities may include:

• Providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities – our goal is to foster increased independence, choice and empowerment while assuring that their health and safety needs are being met at all times.
• Supervising, teaching and assisting individuals in all aspects of his/her life.
• Transporting the individuals between their homes and the Day Program through the use of a company, passenger van.
• Participating in community outings through the transportation and assistance of the individuals served.

Requirements for this position include (What You'll Need):

Must be at least 18 years old

High School Diploma or GED

• Valid Driver's License
  • Motor Vehicle Record must specific requirements including (but not limited to):
    • No OVI/DUI's, reckless operations, or speeding violations more than 20 MPH over posted limit
    • No more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years or more than 5 points
• Ability to lift, push, or carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, balance, and assist individuals as needed
