ViaQuest Day & Employment Services is seeking a Direct Support Professional in Middleburg Heights, OH. This full-time role offers training and a 1st shift schedule, with a pay rate of $17.50 per hour.

You will support individuals with developmental disabilities, helping them achieve greater independence and safety in daily activities. No experience is required as training is provided; duties include transportation, personal care, and community involvement.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• MVRC restrictions: no OVI/DUI, no more than 2 moving violations in 2 years or >5 points.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting independence, choice and safety.
• Supervise, teach and assist individuals in daily activities.
• Transport individuals between homes and Day Program using company van.
• Provide personal care assistance when needed.
• Participate in community outings and activities.

Direct Support Professional

A Great Opportunity / $17.50 per Hour / Full-Time, M-F 1st Shift

At ViaQuest Day & Employment Services we provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities within our Day Program. Training for this position is provided in its entirety so no experience is required.

Responsibilities may include:

• Providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities – our goal is to foster increased independence, choice and empowerment while assuring that their health and safety needs are being met at all times.
• Supervising, teaching and assisting individuals in all aspects of his/her life.
• Transporting the individuals between their homes and the Day Program through the use of a company, passenger van.
• Providing personal care assistance.
• Participating in community outings through the transportation and assistance of the individuals served.

Requirements for this position include (What You’ll Need)

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver’s License
• Motor Vehicle Record must specific requirements including (but not limited to):
• • No OVI/DUI's, reckless operations, or speeding violations more than 20 MPH over posted limit
  • No more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years or more than 5 points
• Ability to lift, push, or carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, balance, and assist individuals as needed
