Job summary

Ardmore Enterprises in Lanham, MD is seeking a part-time Direct Support Professional to assist individuals in a community living setting. The DSP will focus on person-centered supports, daily living skills, and community activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Able to communicate effectively with individuals receiving services.
• Experience in a residential setting serving people with IDD or other special needs populations.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in achieving personal goals with a person-centered focus.
• Teach independent living and daily living skills, including grooming and self-care routines.
• Plan, coordinate, and participate in social activities and community outings with residents.
• Instruct and assist with household tasks such as cleaning, meal prep, and shopping.
