Job summary

PathPoint is seeking a Per Diem Direct Support Professional to lead the Project SEARCH team at Kaiser Permanente facilities in Los Angeles, CA. You will coach students with disabilities through internship rotations and support their skill-building in a real-world setting.

The role offers an hourly wage starting at $25.75, with bilingual (Spanish or ASL) pay increases to $26.25 when needed. Benefits include health coverage, paid time off, retirement plan options, and wellness programs.

Qualifications

• Patience, compassion, and the ability to interact with individuals with disabilities and their families in a positive manner.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or disadvantaged groups is desirable.
• Experience teaching, coaching or training others is desirable.
• Culturally aware and capable of collaborating across diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Coach and support interns by teaching soft skills such as professional communication, behavior and grooming/hygiene.
• Provide individualized supports including job coaching and use of assistive technology.
• Collaborate with interns, employers, staff and partners to address issues affecting training and employment.
• Lead classroom discussions on employment-related skills.
• Write case notes and monthly student evaluations.
