Job summary

Abound Health is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in Somerset, PA to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role includes assisting with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support to help clients live independently.

You will work with a compassionate team in a mission-driven company with paid onboarding, training, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years or older.
Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary.
Ability to pass criminal background checks, driving record checks, and healthcare registry checks.
Experience with individuals with disabilities not required; paid training provided.

Responsibilities

Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals.
Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, hygiene, and household tasks.
Support individuals in community participation, employment, and social activities.
Use adaptive tools to aid learning and communication.
Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills.
Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
Communicate with Abound team members, families, and case managers as needed.
Complete documentation and maintain schedules.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
