Job summary

Verland in Hermitage, PA is hiring Direct Support Professionals to provide Exceptional Care to residents with complex physical, medical, and intellectual challenges. This hourly, non-exempt role offers a new wage of $20.00 per hour and a $2,000 sign-on bonus, with full-time shifts (40 hours weekly).

You will support daily living, assist with meals, personal care, transportation, and activities, while documenting progress and participating in planning.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Ability to lift and transfer as needed.
• Must pass background, physical, and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized care and support for residents with complex needs.
• Assist with meals, personal hygiene, and daily living activities.
• Transport residents to appointments and activities in Verland vehicles.
• Record observations, progress notes, and update care plans.
• Support participation in social, home, and recreational activities.
• Maintain a safe, clean house and perform light housekeeping.
• Administer medications as assigned.
• Complete training and adhere to Verland policies.
