Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company in Texas is seeking a DSD Receiving associate responsible for receiving merchandise from outside vendors, checking invoices, and maintaining accurate inventory records. You will monitor product levels, resolve discrepancies, and secure company assets during loading and unloading processes.

You will work with store teams to stock items, monitor vendor activity, and assist in IMS-based inventory tasks.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• 21+ to drive per policy.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• DSD Receiving certification required (LEARN).

Responsibilities

• Receives direct store delivery products such as soda, chips, alcohol, etc.
• Checks invoices for accuracy, resolves discrepancies, and assesses product for damage.
• Protects Company assets by properly securing and monitoring back doors.
• Reduce shrink levels by ensuring credit is received from damaged, returned, and out-of-date products.
• Checks inventory on trucks, unloads products, and ensures accuracy of inventory, product ordering, and paperwork.
• Monitors vendor activity by ensuring products are stocked correctly and advising vendors of actions.
• Advises department managers of vendor or product issues.
• Monitors inventory levels, and reports supply and demand inconsistencies.
• Assists in IMS software tasks and inventory counts.
• Helps prepare the store for inventory service counts.
• Maintains the back room according to 5S standards.
• Provides friendly customer service and answers questions.
