Job summary

FairValue is looking for a DSD Clerk to provide friendly, accurate pricing and courteous service in our grocery store.

You will price merchandise, update computer and register systems, and ensure shelf tags are correct. The role includes performing FAIRVALUE check-in procedures for DSD vendors and reporting to the Manager on Duty. The 6AM shift starts the work day with variable end times.

POSITION SUMMARY: The DSD Clerk is responsible for providing quality customer service to our customers by accurate pricing of merchandise sold. The DSD clerk verifies and audits prices in DSD categories, MDI host categories, perishable departments and weekly sale items. Updates prices in the computer and register system in addition to all shelf tags and signs. Ensures proper FAIRVALUE check-in procedures are performed for each DSD vendor. Reports to Manager on Duty.

This position requires a 6AM shift start time with variable shift end time.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge and Education

• High school graduation or equivalent, preferred.
• Knowledge of DSD/Scanning Operations.
• Basic computer knowledge

Skills and Abilities

• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Good people and customer interaction skills.
• Demonstrated attentiveness to details, mathematical analytical ability. Use of calculator.
