Job summary

E&K in Grandview, MO is seeking a skilled drywall finish worker to layout, install, and finish drywall per plans. The role requires lifting, climbing scaffolds, reading blueprints, and following safety policies.

You will prepare surfaces, mix and apply joint compound, texture walls, and work as part of a team in a busy construction environment. This is a full-time, on-site position with training and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints and follow specifications.
• Knowledge of basic mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
• Willingness to learn company safety policies and OSHA standards.
• Ability to work on ladders and scaffolds.
• Ability to lift heavy loads (over 100 lbs) occasionally.
• Team-oriented and able to work in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Layout and install drywall beads.
• Prepare all drywall surfaces to receive drywall finish products.
• Mix, carry and apply joint compound ready for decoration.
• Texture walls or ceilings per plans and specifications.
• Cleanup, scrapping, moving material, tools, or equipment.
• Erect and dismantle scaffolds.
• Calculate unit costs based on quantity of material installed, hours worked, and labor dollars.
• Attend and participate in all required training programs.
• Conform to all company polices and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
