Job summary

E&K Building Excellence in Elmhurst, IL, seeks an experienced drywall finisher to join our on-site team. You will prepare surfaces, mix and apply joint compound, and tape, finish, and texture walls per plans, ensuring accuracy and quality across multiple locations.

You will operate automatic taping equipment and related tools, maintain strict safety practices, and collaborate with the crew to meet project timelines. Strong math, blueprint reading, and physical stamina are required.

Qualifications

• OSHA safety standards knowledge and compliance.
• Ability to operate drywall finishing tools effectively.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow specifications.
• Strong math and measurement accuracy skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare drywall surfaces to receive finish products.
• Mix, carry and apply joint compound.
• Tape, coat, finish and sand joint compound for decoration.
• Texture walls or ceilings per plans/specs, by hand or machine.
• Set up and dismantle scaffolds safely.
• Follow safety rules and OSHA standards.
• Estimate unit costs based on materials and labor.
• Be punctual at multiple locations.
• Attend required company training programs.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
