Job summary

Paycom's Ohio HQ in Columbus is seeking a Drywall Foreman to lead commercial drywall crews, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time completion.

You will coordinate field personnel, materials, and schedules, review drawings, and enforce OSHA compliance while mentoring team members.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of drywall installation experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
  • Experience leading drywall crews on commercial construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of drywall installation, finishing, texturing, ceiling systems, materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents.
  • Experience coordinating labor, materials, equipment, and project schedules.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA requirements and construction safety practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise drywall installers, laborers, and apprentices on commercial construction projects.
  • Coordinate daily drywall operations, including hanging, taping, finishing, texturing, and ceiling system installation.
  • Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
  • Plan and coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and workflow to meet project schedules and productivity goals.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and other trades to ensure successful project execution.
  • Monitor work quality and ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes, and company standards.
  • Maintain material inventories and coordinate deliveries to support project needs.
  • Serve as the primary safety leader for drywall operations, ensuring compliance with company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and jobsite procedures.
  • Conduct safety meetings and promote a strong safety culture among crew members.
  • Train, mentor, and support crew members in safe and efficient work practices.
  • Communicate project progress, concerns, and resource needs to project leadership.
  • Identify and resolve jobsite challenges to maintain quality, productivity, and schedule performance.

The Drywall Foreman is responsible for leading drywall crews on commercial construction projects while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to quality standards. This role coordinates field personnel, materials, equipment, and daily operations while serving as a key liaison between field teams, project management, and project stakeholders.

What You'll Do
