OverviewThe Drywall Assistant Superintendent supports the successful execution of commercial construction projects by assisting with field operations, schedule management, subcontractor coordination, quality control, and safety compliance. This role works closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and field personnel to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.What You'll DoSupport the day-to-day management of commercial construction projects from startup through closeout.Coordinate subcontractors, field personnel, materials, equipment, and project resources.Assist in developing, updating, and enforcing project schedules to maintain milestone and completion dates.Coordinate and manage drywall operations while supporting all project trades and activities.Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents.Participate in preconstruction meetings, trade coordination meetings, and project planning activities.Monitor project quality and ensure work is performed in accordance with project specifications and company standards.Assist with permitting, inspections, turnover, punch list completion, and project closeout activities.Coordinate material deliveries and equipment utilization to support project needs.Support manpower planning, productivity tracking, and self-performed work activities.Maintain project documentation, including daily reports, two-week look-aheads, as-builts, and Procore updates.Build and maintain positive working relationships with subcontractors, project teams, clients, and project stakeholders.Assist with problem-solving and issue resolution to maintain schedule, quality, and budget objectives.Support field leadership in training and developing crew members.Benefits & Perks100% employer-paid medical coverage for employees and dependentsHSA, FSA, and dependent care FSA options availableLow-cost dental and vision coverageCompany-paid life insurance ($10,000) and long-term disability coverage401(k) retirement plan with company matchEmployee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)Unlimited PTO and paid company holidaysCompany vehicle or vehicle allowanceCell phone allowanceCompany-supported training, development, and career growth opportunitiesTuition reimbursement opportunities for eligible employeesWhat We're Looking ForMinimum of 5 years of construction management, drywall supervision, or field leadership experience.Experience managing commercial drywall projects and coordinating multiple trades.Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and project documents.Strong knowledge of drywall installation methods, materials, equipment, and construction best practices.Experience managing subcontractors, manpower, project schedules, and field productivity.Strong understanding of construction safety requirements and OSHA regulations.OSHA 30 certification preferred.First Aid/CPR/AED certification preferred.Proficiency with Procore and other construction management technology.Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Ability to meet physical job requirements, including walking active construction sites, climbing ladders and scaffolding, and navigating varying terrain and weather conditions.Apply Today!If you're ready to take the next step in your construction leadership career and help deliver successful commercial construction projects, we'd love to hear from you.Miles McClellan values the leadership, dedication, and experience veterans bring to the workforce and strongly encourages veterans and military candidates to apply.
