Job summary

JBS USA is seeking team members for a production sanitation role in Denver, CO. You will complete safety and GMP training, clean machinery and floors, and maintain sanitary conditions across the production line.

This is a hands-on, physically active position requiring standing, lifting and continuous movement. Candidates should be 18+, able to communicate in English (Spanish preferred), and maintain good attendance and safety records.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and follow safety and GMP training instructions.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend and lift as part of a production role.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Complete mandatory safety and food safety/GMP training.
• Clean and sanitize machinery and floors in a production line setting.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in assigned areas.
• Operate cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Monitor for hazards and report to supervision.
• Perform duties as assigned and assist in other tasks as needed.

Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Complete and comply with mandatory safety training as outlined for the job assignment
• Complete and comply with food safety/GMP training as outlined for the job assignment
• To clean and sanitize machinery and floors in a production line setting
• Responsible for all basic cleaning in and around assigned area, basic floor pick-up, trash removal, setting up and tearing down floor mats,
• Set up, stocks, and maintains cleaning equipment and supplies
• Monitor and maintains sanitation and organization of assigned areas
• May require use of a water hose, squeegee, etc.
• Stay aware of your surroundings and notify a supervisor if you recognize a hazard
• Perform other duties as needed or as assigned

Qualifications

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds throughout the day.
• Very active position, requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day
• Must be able to frequently and regularly use wrists, hands, and or fingers.
• Acute close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Must use proper personal protective equipment effectively
• High School Diploma or equivalent certification
• Ability to speak, read, and write English
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
• Must be well-organized with good attention to detail
• Display strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Adaptable and dependable with ability to follow direction and work cooperation with others
• Must maintain a helpful and professional attitude and appearance
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved, instructions and to deal with problems involving a few different variables.

Work Environment

Must be able to work for long hours in a no-kill food processing environment, where it is wet, damp, and cold. Temperatures are frequently below freezing, and employees are expected to remain in these conditions for most of their workdays.
