Job summary

Pilgrim’s in Colorado is seeking team members for sanitation in a production line environment. You will complete safety and GMP training, clean machinery and floors, stock and maintain cleaning supplies, and set up floor mats.

The role is hands-on in a no-kill food processing environment that is wet, damp, and cold. This is an entry-level, full-time position requiring English literacy, the ability to lift up to 100 pounds, and strong attendance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent certification.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb all day.
• Good attendance and safety records.

Responsibilities

• Complete mandatory safety training and food safety/GMP training.
• Clean and sanitize machinery and floors on a production line.
• Perform basic cleaning in assigned areas and manage waste.
• Set up, stock, and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Monitor sanitation and organization; notify supervisor of hazards.
• Work in a wet, cold production environment and follow PPE guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

• Complete and comply with mandatory safety training as outlined for the job assignment
• Complete and comply with food safety/GMP training as outlined for the job assignment
• To clean and sanitize machinery and floors in a production line setting
• Responsible for all basic cleaning in and around assigned area, basic floor pick-up, trash removal, setting up and tearing down floor mats,
• Set up, stocks, and maintains cleaning equipment and supplies
• Monitor and maintains sanitation and organization of assigned areas
• May require use of a water hose, squeegee, etc.
• Stay aware of your surroundings and notify a supervisor if you recognize a hazard
• Perform other duties as needed or as assigned

Qualifications

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds throughout the day.
• Very active position, requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day
• Must be able to frequently and regularly use wrists, hands, and or fingers.
• Acute close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Must use proper personal protective equipment effectively
• High School Diploma or equivalent certification

• Good verbal and written communication skills

Must be able to work for long hours in a no-kill food processing environment, where it is wet, damp, and cold. Temperatures are frequently below freezing, and employees are expected to remain in these conditions for most of their workdays.
