Agropur Cooperative is seeking a Dry Packaging Operator II to assist in packaging operations while upholding safety and quality standards. You will work in a collaborative environment focused on concrete results and measurable impact.

Responsibilities

  • Place bags/totes on pallets.
  • Fill bags/totes and ensure proper labeling.
  • Seal bags/totes.
  • Sustain and support automated systems.
  • Clean and sanitize all packaging areas and equipment.
  • Adhere to quality system requirements.
  • Follow SOPs and sanitation schedules.
  • Report food safety issues to management.
  • Understand product flows and HACCP plans.
  • Follow safety rules and report hazards.

Job Type: RegularThe Dry Packaging Operator II is responsible for the packaging of product while following safety and quality requirements. People are at the heart of everything we do.   • Starting Rate: $22.59/hour $1.50hr shift differential for night shift Two pay increases in the first year up to $1.00

Your role in achieving results:
  • Place bags/totes on pallets.
  • Fill bags/totes and ensure proper labeling.
  • Seal bags/totes.
  • Sustain and support automated systems.
  • Clean and sanitize all parts of packaging department including walls, floors, and equipment.
  • Assist all other coworkers with tasks and duties within the department.
  • Adhere to quality system requirements.
  • Follow procedure and work instructions set forth through SOP’s and Master Sanitation Schedules.
  • Understand and comply with all Quality Assurance policies, and immediately report any potential food safety issues to management.
  • Understand and troubleshoot product flows.
  • May involve operation of a Critical Control Point as determined by the plant HACCP/Food Safety Plans.
  • Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.
  • Correct or report any observed safety hazards.
  • Support safety policies and programs.
What we are looking for to deliver these results:

Education Required: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience Required: Minimum one (1) year of related experience required.

Skills Required:

  • Ability to read, understand, and adhere to documents and procedures (GLP, SOP, SDS, GMP, test procedures, and HACCP).
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Basic computer operational skills; able to input and retrieve computerized information.
  • Ability to follow written, verbal and diagrammatic instructions; complete simple checklists and complete required documentation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communicate well both verbally and in writing with managers and colleagues.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Decisions administered soundly and consistently with policies and in compliance with appropriate laws and regulations.
  • Demonstrate functional and technical knowledge, ability to learn new skills quickly, and achieve a high level of accomplishment.
